Hanging Around Campus

These are more pictures from Youth Conference. I've been slacking on posting these pictures. In fact I just realized that I hadn't posted them. Anyway these pictures are taken around campus. The first one is the brand new library. And the next two is one of the beehives acting like the statue. :)

Roatations at the Institute Building

On June 22nd we did some rotations at the institute building. The rotations included the following (note not in this order):
1: Humanitarian Kits
2: Haiti
3: New Era Jeopardy
4: Writing Letters to Missionaries
5: Missionary Stories
My personal favorite was writing letters to the Missionaries and assembling humanitarian kits. The stake youth leaders decided to use the money that we usually get t-shirts with, they used to make humanitarian kits. Sis. Smith thought it was a great idea instead of t-shirts. This was much more calm than the dance and water games.

Youth Conference Dance

On June 22nd we had a stake dance. Those 14 and older could attend. The kids who were younger got to go swimming and play night games. The dance was so much fun! We all had tons of fun! We all did each others hair, makeup, clothes etc. I definitely enjoyed it and I am not a dancing person at all. We all danced until about I'd say 10:30 and then we begged one of our leaders to take us back to the apartments because we were exhausted from a long day of water games and running around Snow College. Thankfully she was ready to go and then we ended up staying up until 12:30 talking. What do you expect when you have ten young women that are all pretty good friends?

The Manti Pageant or The Morman Miracle Pageant

On June 21st the first day we were at Youth Conference we had the opportunity to go see The Manti Pagent or to other The Mormon Miracle Pageant. The Mormon Miracle Pageant was amazing, very spiritual. Let me explain what the Mormon Miracle Pageant is. The Mormon Miracle Pageant is the story of Joseph Smith, the coming fourth of The Book of Mormon, The Mormon Pioneers and how family's can be reunited in the next life. I really love The Mormon Miracle. My testimony grew along with many others that attended the pageant. Before the Pageant we sat and played games because we had a good two hours until the Pageant started. To learn more about the Pageant click here. I really loved it! And the best part we didn't freeze but we did get mosquito bites but hey who cares right?

Water Fight and Water Games

I am not going to take the time to add caption to 16 photos because that would take FOREVER and I'm not kidding. On June 22 we did water games and had a big water fight. I'm gonna say it was awesome! I had a blast and I'm pretty sure that most of the Young Women and Young Men did too! We were all totally soaked by the end of the water fight and the Epic Blow up Slip in Slide. It felt nice to get wet especially because it was so hot. The water games were so fun! We did Slip in Slides, Crab Soccer, Ate Cotton Candy, and so many other things. The Young Women and Young Men in our ward tend to make allies and go after other wards which is exactly what we did and we made sure nobody who was in the area went back to the apartments dry! Which made it even better considering we were using weird resources for water (like under the blow up slip in slide!) Water Games and the Water Fight was a Blast! :D
